STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING PROFESSIONAL REQUIRED FOR LEAD MANAGEMENT POSITION

The Role

In view of the extensive expansion program for its Civil & Structural Engineering Team, ProMag is now looking for a senior professional to join its fast growing group in the Lead Management Position in Structural Engineering.

The above position has significant future growth prospects leading to a senior management position in the Group’s organizational hierarchy.

Key Responsibilities:

The individual will act as primary design & management lead – managing, overseeing and coordinating the entire effort on Structural Engineering Works/Projects of the Company/Group.

Other responsibilities of this lead position shall include client interface/relationship management, resource management, business development activities, and financial management on assigned projects in line with the overall business objectives.

Position Requirements:

  • A minimum 20-25 years of relevant experience of design and management of Structural Engineering Works on large scale building and infrastructure projects, with demonstrated career progression, including atleast 5 years in a lead management position
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
  • Post-graduation and/or international experience shall be given appropriate significance
  • Experience of managing/liaising with multidisciplinary Civil Engineering specializations shall also be considered favorably  
  • Thorough knowledge of international/local Codes & Standards, and Authorities Bye-laws
  • Ability to work independently, as well as lead and work in multidisciplinary teams/environment
  • Go-getter attitude and presentable personality
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, organizational and analytical skills

The above position is based at the Head Office in Karachi, Pakistan and requires travel to the ongoing projects throughout the country. It would also require interactions with the clients, sub-consultants, contractors, relevant authorities and other stakeholders.

CHIEF/ SENIOR RESIDENT ENGINEER

The Role

In view of their rapid expansion program, the Company is now looking for Senior Personnel in their Project/Construction Management Division. The Senior Positions include Chief Resident Engineer (CRE), Senior Resident Engineer (SRE) and Resident Engineer (RE). Minimum relevant experience for any of the above positions varies between 18 to 30 years, with the maximum applicable for the Chief Resident Engineer (CRE) and the minimum limit for the Resident Engineer (RE).

The above senior positions are required for our large-scale land development and housing infrastructure projects at various locations in the country including Bahawalpur, Multan, Gwadar and Karachi. These personnel shall be responsible for overseeing our Resident Supervision Teams deployed at respective project sites, coordinating their effort, carrying out project/ construction management including contract administration/ supervision of the construction site, and interfacing with the clients and contractors as well as coordination with the Design Office.

Preferred credentials of the candidates may include;

  • Relevant experience in large scale Infrastructure/Land Development projects.
  • International qualifications and/or experience will be given appropriate preference, but are not compulsory requirements.
  • Appropriate knowledge of construction contracts and various modes of contract procurement.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

BUSINESS MANAGER

The Role

In view of their expansion program the Company is now looking for a Business Manager with minimum 5 to 10 years of applicable experience. The responsibilities would include assistance in business administration, management, expansion and consolidation of the groups brand image.

The position is full time and the person would be based at the Karachi office. Job requirements may require presentation and meetings with Clients/Organizations who are in other cities.

PRINCIPAL & SENIOR CIVIL UTILITIES (WATER SUPPLY/SEWERAGE & STORM WATER) ENGINEERS

The Role

In view of its rapid expansion program, the Company is now looking for a Principal Civil Utilities Engineer with minimum 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in design of large-scale projects, and a Senior Civil Utilities Engineer with an experience of 8 to 10 years.

Required experience includes design of major land development and housing infrastructure projects.

Specific experience should include design of Civil Infrastructure Utilities encompassing Potable Water Supply, Sewerage Collection & Conveyance, Storm Water Drainage, Fire Water Supply, and Irrigation Systems for land development and infrastructure projects.

Professionals also having knowledge of Hydrology, Water Treatment Systems, Sewerage Treatment Systems, and Environmental Management Systems shall be given preference.

The position would be based at the Karachi office in Pakistan but would require visits to the ongoing projects. It would also require interactions with the clients and relevant authorities.

Preferred credentials of the candidate may include,

  • A minimum number of years of design experience of large scale projects, as specified above for the two positions viz. Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer.
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Post-graduate qualification and/or international experience would be given appropriate significance.
  • Knowledge of relevant international & local design codes/standards of Civil Infrastructure Utilities and applicable Environmental Protection regulations.
  • Working knowledge of relevant engineering software for Civil Utilities Design.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

The Role

In view of its expansion program, the Company is now looking for a Principal Transportation/ Road Engineer with minimum 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in design of large-scale projects, and a Senior Transportation/Road Engineer with an experience of 8 to 12 years.

Required experience includes design of major road, highway, land development and housing infrastructure projects.

Specific experience should include Earthworks, Geometric Design and Pavement Design for land development, infrastructure and roads/highway projects.

The position would be based at the Karachi office in Pakistan but would require short visits to the ongoing projects. It would also require interactions with the clients and relevant authorities.

Preferred credentials of the candidate may include,

  • A minimum number of years of design experience of large scale projects, as specified above for the two positions viz. Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer.
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Post-graduate qualification and/or international experience would be given appropriate significance.
  • Knowledge of relevant international & local design codes/standards of Transportation/ Roads/Highways.
  • Working knowledge of relevant engineering software for Roads/Highway Design.
